Binbo Jiang, born in 1974, male, associate professor, doctoral superviser. He graduated from Zhejiang University of technology in 1995 and acquired MS and PhD degrees from Zhejiang University in 1998 and 2001. Specializing in chemical engineering, he is mainly engaged in the research of olefin polymerization reaction engineering, catalytic reaction engineering and process information engineering, responsible for undertaking research projects such as "863" Program, The National Natural Science Fund of China, Sinopec and PetroChina Program. He has obtained more than 40 Chinese invention patents and published more than 50 papers in major academic journals such as Chem. Eng. Sci., JPSP-art A, Ind. & Eng. Chem. Among those, the process monitoring system of gas-phase polyethylene production has been widely applied in 11 sets of industral equipments.

Research Interests
My research was focused on the chemical and process engineering which included as following:

  • Acquirement and soft-sensing of information during the chemical engineering process;
  • Process simulation and real time monitoring system;
  • Catalyst and process of Ethylene polymerization.

Responsible projects

  • Development of real time monitoring system software; (Sinopec)
  • 240, 000 t Super gravity process intensification and system integration ;(863 Program)
  • 300,000 t Development of packaged technology of Gas-phase ethylene polymerization; (Chinese government technical project)
  • Development of PCS system in Zhongyuan SINOPEC branch;(SINOPEC Program).
